Lentil Seeds

Lentils (Pulses) are a vegetable in the legume family. They are able to deposit plant-accessible nitrogen into the soil making this a great crop to include in your rotation. They are also high in protein while being low in fat. In fact, lentils are often favored in vegetarian diets because they are one of the vegetables with the highest protein content that we know of. Lentils prefer cool weather, full sun, and a soil pH from 6-8. You can also grow these in drought-prone areas however, the yields will likely be reduced. Plant with potatoes, cucumbers, and summer savor. Avoid planting with onions or garlic.

For Lentil Cover Crops we recommend adding Lentil Cover Crop Bacterial Inoculant Powder to help improve the Nitrogen Fixation capabilities of your Lentil Crops.
