Commonly grown as an herbaceous perennial, Shasta Daisy takes on the classic appearance of the daisy with its ray florets radiating from a yellow center bud. The Shasta Daisy's flower is much larger than the classic daisy. The name comes from Mount Shasta, named so because the long, white florets that resemble the snow-topped peak.
