Rye Seeds
Rye Seeds
Rye is a cereal grain related to wheat and barley. It is a type of grass which means it contains gluten. Rye is usually grown as a grain, cover crop, or forage crop. Its grain can be used as flour, made into bread, beer, and animal fodder. Any baked goods that are made with rye flour will turn out darker than the usual wheat-based products because of their natural coloration. While it is not the usual selection for alcohol, rye is sometimes incorporated into whiskey or vodka.
