2nd Year Maturity. Robinson"s Mixture Painted Daisy seeds promise a stunning and exotic Asian twist to the more traditional daisies commonly grown in the United States. Painted Daisy seeds grow neat 24" tall mounding shrubs covered in familiar 2½ " 3" daisy-like blooms ideal for indoor planters or lining a flower bed, walkway, or fencing. Pyrethrum seeds are native to the temperate highlands of the Caucasus mountains and are perfectly suited for similarly cool home gardens. Robinson"s Mixture seeds boast some of summer's most recognizable blooms and are a floral shop favorite for invigorating tired fresh cut arrangements. 12,000 seeds/ounce.
Robinson"s Mixture Painted Daisy seeds are most commonly started indoors 6 " 8 weeks prior to the final frost and then transplanted either indoors or out. Pyrethrum seeds will germinate in 14 " 21 days with full lighting. Plants will not reseed. Lightly cover 2 " 3 Painted Daisy seeds every 18" in average, medium moist, and well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Robinson"s Mixture Painted Daisy seeds are vigorous garden performers with no serious pests or diseases. Spider mites and aphids may be a problem in some areas. Pyrethrum will thrive in full sun in more cooler, northern climates, yet will require partial shade in warmer gardens. Robinson"s Mixture Painted Daisy seeds are perennials that will mature in their 2nd year as 24" tall mounds with a 12 " 18" spread of well-stemmed 2 " 3" daisy-like blooms.
Tanacetum coccineum, or more commonly known as Pyrethrum or Painted Daisy, is native to the Caucasus mountains of Asia and is sometimes referred to as the Persian chrysanthemum. The genus Pyrethrum no longer exists in contemporary taxonomy, yet the classical name "Ëœpyrethrum" is still commonly given to those divided plants reclassified as either Chrysanthemum or Tanacetum.
