- The Cal Oro hot pepper is great known as the Yellow Jalapeno, is great fresh or pickled as it has thick walls and was developed by the United States Department of Agriculture to be resistant to TMV.
Cal Oro peppers are spicy and grow uniformly. Each pepper is 2" long and 1" wide with an interesting boublous to pointed shape. Walls are thick, and skin matures from green to a beautiful bright yellow.
