80 days. The non-GMO Earli-Dew Hybrid Honeydew melon seeds produce smooth melons with light green interiors and a sweet flavor, growing to be between two and three pounds. The honeydew melons are ripe in eighty days and do best in grow zones 4 to 11. Harvesting is an easy process and can be done by hand. Recommended by USU. Round, 6 to 8 inch, 7 pound smooth-skinned melon with very sweet green flesh. Vigorous vines yield plenty of fruit. Resistant to Fusarium Wilt. Approx. 1,060 seeds/oz.
Start by sowing directly outdoors, placing the seeds half an inch deep in moist soil with four to six feet between seeds. The soil should be at least sixty degrees and the crops will need access to full sun. While growing, a trellis may be used if desired. Honeydew is not tolerant of drought, so it is important to keep the soil moist. When melons are ripe, you will be able to easily slide them off the vine.
