During growth, beware of weeds as they can hinder the plant. After 50 days, the plant should be between 12-22" tall, and is ready for harvest before it flowers. When harvesting, the plant should be cut at its base. Use the broccoli shortly after it has been harvested for maximum freshness, and keep it refrigerated. This broccoli is delicious when served sauteed with other vegetables, or even paired with a garlic and a dash of oil. It has a unique taste that is almost mustard like.
