Plantain is native to Europe, a perennial herb that has been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes. Often used as a forage crop, plantain is drought and heat tolerant, plantain will grow in soils suited to ryegrass and white clover. Plantain is common under low fertility conditions and is often mixed with grasses and legumes.
Sow directly into soil outdoors after the last frost has passed, and keep seeds moist. A very hardy plant that can adapt to foot traffic and even moving.
