Scabiosa

The Scabiosa species contains both annuals and perennials. Some species have woody stems while others are more soft. Similarly, most varieties have hairy leaves along the stem and the flowers are generally composed of florets. A common name for Scabiosa is Pincushion Flowers because of its large, fluffy blooms that mostly come in cool red shades.
