The Purple Vienna bulb tastes like a mix of turnip and cabbage. The greens of the kohlrabi can be used like kale. Purple globes grow above the soil, and the plant grows to 18" tall. This is a great vegetable to grow for succession planting due to its versatility. Purple Vienna Kohlrabi is related to broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and turnips.
