Ocimum basilicum minimum

Also known as Greek Basil, Spicy Globe is very popular in European Cuisine, most notably Mediterranean dishes. Spicy Globe is more suitable for growing containers than other strains of basil. Although, it is still able to be grown in an outdoor herb garden, just be sure to plant after the threat of the last frost has passed.

Harvest leaves before tiny blooms appear as this will compromise the flavor of the herb. Use in recipes that ask for traditional basil to spice it up. Create your own "spicy pesto".

Oil from Spicy Globe is said to give your immune system a boost and contain a substantial amount of Vitamin K. Store leaves in freezer for increased longevity.

Approx. 22,800 seeds/oz.
